First Stop France, Then America

X-Japan will finally be holding their first American live concert on September 13, 2008 at Madison Square Garden. In a press conference on April 3, the band announced their plans to hold the concert in New York City, and indicated that it was band leader Yoshiki Hayashi’s dream to do a world tour. This seems to be coming true since in another press conference on March 28, X-Japan said they will also be holding another concert in Paris, France on July 5, 2008. Yoshiki also said that it is possible for the band to have concerts in Southeast Asia and South America in the future.

For American fans of X-Japan this should come as great news.
Prior to these concerts the band held a reunion concert, after a ten year hiatus, on March 28-30. However, the concert was held at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, making it hard for international fans, including us Americans, to go. Besides the fact that there was a very limited number of tickets available to international fans, there was also the fact it is very costly to travel and stay in Japan. With this Madison Square Garden concert coming in just a few months we can finally see X-Japan without having to leave the country. Plus, for those who have never been to New York, going to the concert will allow goers to have a mini vacation and tour New York City as well.
